About Me

Due to work and personal circumstances, I have traveled a lot.  I take almost 100 airplane rides a year to a variety of places in North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, in the industrialized and non-industrialized world, in cities and in very remote areas.  I’ve had all the symptoms of the “Travel Bug” – my passport has run out of pages, I’ve had “Gold” status in frequent flier programs of two different air alliances at the same time, I’ve woken up and not known what country I’m in.  Over the years, I have accumulated a lot of travel knowledge and I have created this blog in order to share it all in one place.

Everything here is based on my own experience and opinion.  I’m not dogmatic about any of this, and others’ experience and advice may be different from my own.  Feel free to leave comments – I would love to hear from you.
